12:00 noon - weigh-in & certification for all implements
2:00 pm - Throws (1st, hammer; 2nd, weight; 3rd, super weight)

  • $8 per person per event
Registration Rules:
  • No on-site registration is authorized.
  • Participants may enter a maximum of 6 events.
  • All athletes must check-in to their individual events at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start.
  • If a participant wishes to be seeded, he/she must enter their best time during the past year on the registration form. Heats will be seeded according to times submitted. If no time is submitted, seeding will be random.
  • All runners must wear assigned numbers for the distance races.
Format/Rules:
  • USA Track and Field (USATF) rules and equipment standards apply, except as modified herein.
  • The order of events and approximate start times will be posted at the stadium.
  • Track Events
    • Only one false start will be allowed.
    • Heats will be organized: women first - oldest to youngest.
    • When participants check-in, they will receive their "bib number" if required.
    • The track is rubberized and spikes up to 1/4" will be allowed and must be provided by the athlete.
  • Field Events
    • Certified field event implements will be provided for use during the field events only, except for the pole vault.
    • Athletes will be permitted to use their own implements provided those implements have been certified.
  • Hammer, Weight and Super Weight Throws
    • These throwing events will be contested Friday, July 25 at Tiger Stadium at Centralia High School.
    • A current, valid USATF card is required for all competitors (Go to www.USATF.org for online purchase).
    • No event-specific experience is required to participate.  Instruction and/or training assistance available, prior to July 25th, on request.  Call commissioner for details.
    • Participation in these events does not count against event participation limitations for Track & Field events on Saturday, July 26th.
    • Implements must be checked in and approved for use at least one hour prior to the start of the event.
    • This is a USATF sanctioned competition.
    • There will be three (3) attempts for every event in the preliminaries; and three (3) more attempts for the top eight (8) in each age division.
    • Athletes will be permitted to use their own implements provided those implements have been certified
    • An open exhibition hammer event will be held at the conclusion of the Senior Games events.
